Formatting Speech Transcript

When you transcribe the speeches you make in class. Please add your name, student ID, speech file number, and date the speech was made to the paper. Then transcribe your speech exactly as you recorded it. Next, copy and paste your speech below the original recording's transcript. Then edit your speech. Remember, your edited speech should be between 90 and 100 words. Follow the structural format we looked at in Independent Speaking Structure. Finally add a word count to both parts of your transcript.

Before you edit your speech, think carefully about the weaknesses in your original speech. Ask yourself the following questions.

Was the structure OK?
Were my ideas too simple?
What were the grammar mistakes and how should I change them.
Was my vocabulary too simple?
Was my speech a shopping list?
