Independent Speaking 2: Structure 2

A Remember that an independent speaking task speech should look something like this:

Topic statement (your answer to the topic)
Main point 1 (reason for answer in topic statement)
Explanation of main point 1
Main point 2 (reason for answer in topic statement)
Explanation of main point 2
You DO NOT need a concluding statement. You DO NOT have time.

B Breaking down a speech.   Read Sample speech 3  and fill in the table below it. The topic is
"Which place in Japan would you most like to visit?"

Sample speech 3
I think I'd most like to go to Hiroshima. Of course, the main reason is I want to visit the peace park and the A-bomb museum there. I've seen it on TV and read about it in magazines, and I'm sure it would be really interesting and probably very saddening, but it is a place I think I should see. And the A-bomb dome is one of the most powerful images of modern times and I'd like to photograph it.  I also want to go to the famous shrine, which is very near Hiroshima. Em, it's ceremonial gateway in the sea is a another amazing image that I've seen many many times in books about Japan and Japanese tourist posters. I'd very much like to see it with my own eyes, and study the architecture up close. (137 words)
